A forward-thinking UK-based Acoustics and Environmental Consultancy is seeking a Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join their expanding team in Bristol. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and creative graduate to launch their career working on innovative building acoustics projects with a strong focus on sustainability and performance-led design.

Essential Criteria:

  • A degree (BSc or MSc) in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related subject.

  • A keen interest in building acoustics and sustainable building design.

  • Strong communication and report writing skills.

  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a dynamic, design-focused environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with building acoustics principles and modelling software (e.g., Insul, SoundFlow, CATT, or Odeon).

  • Experience or academic work related to green building design, Passivhaus, or low-carbon architecture.

  • Experience with technical drawing or working alongside architects is a plus.

The Role:
You will work as part of a collaborative team of acoustic consultants and engineers to deliver cutting-edge building acoustics projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience across design consultancy, site testing, and acoustic modelling-contributing to acoustic strategies for schools, workplaces, residential schemes, and cultural spaces.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting acoustic assessments and on-site testing.

  • Producing clear, high-quality technical reports and design advice.

  • Supporting the development of acoustic modelling and sustainable building solutions.

  • Engaging with architects, engineers, and project teams to shape acoustic performance.

This is a full-time, Bristol-based role, with office and site-based working. It offers a competitive salary, full training, mentoring from senior consultants, and exposure to some of the most creative and forward-thinking projects in the industry.
