An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Bristol. The role involves developing manufacturing methods, processes, and materials for composite fan blades and fan containment casings. We are experiencing growth through delivering composite components and manufacturing programs, including the UltraFan Demonstrator Programme.

We foster an inclusive, innovative environment that invests in your growth, offering opportunities to influence next-generation fan systems. The successful candidate will manage relationships with the CTF supply chain, ensuring quality and conformance of hardware, understanding product and process requirements, and executing improvements within set timescales and budgets.

We provide excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and benefits such as bonuses, employee support, and discounts. Our hybrid working model allows flexibility between office, home, and remote locations, with a minimum of three days on-site for collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain relationships with the CTF supply chain, conducting regular reviews to track progress and resolve issues.

  2. Resolve technical issues within the supply chain using supplier management systems, escalating delays as needed.

  3. Manage supplier approvals, process documentation, and special process approvals.

  4. Drive supply-chain quality and cost improvements during the industrialization phases of the UltraFan Programme.

  5. Identify and implement process improvements within the supply chain, sharing best practices and ensuring value for money.

  6. Manage hardware delivery into CTF, including resolving non-conformance issues during goods receipt inspection.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline, HND or HNC with manufacturing engineering experience.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in assembly impact liners or honeycomb sandwich structures.

  • Experience with supplier management and aerospace management systems.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing capability development and engineering tools.

  • Logical, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills.

  • Strong teamwork and influencing skills.
