You`ll work closely with the operational, development and commercial teams, understanding their objectives and the decisions that they need market intelligence (on the higher education and student accommodation sector) or internal insight (on students and employees) to inform.

You will manage the data sources, undertake the analysis, identify key themes and trends, and present it back to the business as a simple story that can lead to action.

What You`ll Be Doing

  • Visualise and tell a story with data
  • Identify the big picture story when analysing data and relate findings back to business objectives

  • Undertake quality assurance checks to identify any data quality issues
  • Become an expert in the HE and PBSA sectors - using desk research and tracking news, government policies and updates to keep the business up to date with what`s happening in the sector
  • Manage the customer experience measurement programme, developing an understanding of the student experience
  • Perform advanced analytics to help the business better understand the purpose-built student accommodation market and our place within it
  • Be part of the development of high-quality analytical models to inform business decisions
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work as part of multi-capability teams to deliver wider projects
  • Actively sharing insight, knowledge and analysis across the business

What We`re Looking for in You

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - ability to tell a story through data and communicate trend analysis in an innovative and engaging manner.
  • Proven experience using Tableau, Power BI or similar
  • Experience of coding languages to query data (e.g. SQL, Python, Pyspark, R)
  • Self-motivated, proactive and curious
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience of gathering stakeholder requirements and presenting technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience and evidence of adding business value through analysing data and insight
  • Ability to convey analytical findings through effective data visualisation.

  • Comfortable working as part of a multi-capability team for different projects.
  • Passionate about the wider sector with a desire to keep up to date with government policy and news
  • Able to work at pace and autonomously when provided with relevant tools and direction.
  • Beneficial:
    • Experience of using data science or statistical analysis techniques.
    • Experience of using structured and unstructured data (e.g. data warehouse/data lake).
What You`ll Get in Return

  • A discretionary annual bonus so you can share in the company`s success
