Are you an ambitious Assistant Project Manager looking to develop your career with a leading construction consultancy?

Our client is a well-established, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a wide range of sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding Bristol team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers, gain exposure to exciting projects from inception through to completion, and receive structured support to progress your career into a Project Manager role.

The Role As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the delivery of construction projects from feasibility through to completion.
  • Assisting with project planning, programming and reporting.
  • Coordinating project teams and maintaining project documentation.
  • Attending client, contractor and design team meetings.
  • Monitoring project costs, programmes and key deliverables.
  • Identifying project risks and supporting mitigation strategies.
  • Assisting with procurement activities and contract administration.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, public sector and mixed-use developments.

About You

We're looking for a motivated individual who is eager to develop a long-term career in project management within the built environment.

Ideally you'll have:
  • Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator or Graduate Project Manager within a construction consultancy, client-side organisation or contractor environment.
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
  • A good understanding of the construction project lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
  • Working towards or interested in gaining professional accreditation with APM, RICS or CIOB.
  • A full UK driving licence.
