Are you passionate about using social media to tell a story and make a difference? Flamingo Chicks is looking for a creative volunteer to help us bring our community to life through short, engaging Instagram Reels.

What difference will you make?

As a social media volunteer creating reels for our inclusive dance charity, you play a vital role in amplifying our message and expanding our reach. Your creative content helps increase visibility for the charity, showing the world the magic, sparkle and joy of our disabled dancers. These reels don’t just showcase performances, they challenge ideas about what disabled children and adults can do, inspire and grow our audience, and help us build a more inclusive society. By sharing our work in a vibrant, engaging way, you also support our fundraising efforts, helping us attract the donations and partners who make our activities possible.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with at least three years of professional experience working with social media — particularly creating engaging reels for platforms like Instagram (experience with TikTok is a bonus). You don’t need to be a professional editor, but you should have a good eye, basic editing skills (e.g. using CapCut, Canva), and a genuine passion for creating social content that connects and inspires. We're also looking for someone proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic about inclusive education and dance.

What will you be doing?

This volunteer opportunity requires a minimum of three years’ experience working with or using social media in a professional capacity, as we are seeking someone with existing expertise in creating engaging reels — particularly for Instagram, though experience with TikTok would also be valuable — to help us effectively reach and grow our audience. What you’ll be doing Taking existing video clips and turning them into polished, compelling reels Adding voiceovers and captions to enhance accessibility and engagement Ideally attending the occasional local class or event to capture fresh content (if you’re nearby – totally optional) Creating around 1–2 reels per month, with flexible deadlines This is a great opportunity to flex your creativity, support a meaningful cause, and gain hands-on experience with digital storytelling.
