An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified finance professional to join a well-established insurance business in a senior reporting role. This is a 6 month contract, looking to start immediately, and offers hybrid working (2 days per week onsite)

Applicants must be qualified accountants and immediately available to start a new role. Experience within insurance is also highly preferable.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly financial and management reporting.
• Producing accurate and compliant reporting under UK GAAP and other relevant accounting frameworks.
• Analysing financial performance and providing insightful commentary on key business drivers.
• Presenting financial results and trends to senior stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
• Supporting regulatory and management reporting requirements.
• Working closely with technical accounting and wider finance teams to understand performance drivers and reporting implications.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support business growth.
• Contributing to wider finance projects and helping develop junior team members within the team.

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Experience gained within financial services, insurance, professional services, or a similarly regulated environment is crucial
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards, including UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and explain findings to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• A proactive approach, coupled with the confidence to challenge existing processes and drive improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
