Systems Proving Engineer - ISV Naval Based Air Defence - #2163572

We are working with a leading defence organisation looking to recruit Systems Proving Engineers to join its Integration and Systems Validation team. The roles will support naval-based air defence programmes, with responsibility for planning and conducting trials, validating system performance and investigating technical issues across a range of testing environments.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Planning, generating and executing trials in collaboration with Systems Engineering and Design teams
- Producing trials documentation and preparing for internal and external Trials Readiness Reviews
- Analysing trials data, investigating design issues and producing technical reports
- Supporting laboratory, ground-based, harbour, sea and firing trials, including trials conducted overseas
- Maintaining laboratory safety, risk assessments, asset management and hardware and software configuration control
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in at least one relevant area, such as systems integration, design proving, missile testing, design verification or system acceptance
- Experience working with engineering teams to plan, conduct and analyse testing activities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers and partners at engineering and management levels
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody or RTC would be beneficial
- Coding experience, particularly Python, would be advantageous
The role involves working on-site 4-5 days per week, with opportunities for travel within the UK and internationally to support trials.
