Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company specialise in multiple divisions.
Highways works closely with operational and delivery teams to provide specialist infrastructure services that support the safe and efficient operation of the UK's road network. The team delivers a range of maintenance, drainage, and improvement works, helping to enhance network performance, minimise disruption to road users, and ensure highways assets remain safe, compliant, and resilient for the communities they serve.
Purpose of the role:
You will be working closely with an HGV gully drivers to clean along the highways. This role can be physically demanding as you will be required to cover a lot of ground on foot as well as working in restrictive spaces. Use of a tablet is also a requirement of the role; therefore, you will need to have knowledge of using them. You will be working on a variety of different contracts, on a reactive workstream - a proactive attitude and enthusiasm is key, and you will be paid to learn!

Key Responsibilities:
- Clean / clear / repair and maintain drainage systems
- Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided
- Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using electro mechanical and specialist CCTV survey equipment
- Rodding blockages
- Delivering good customer service
- Maintaining good H&S practise while carrying out works
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Competent in IT, accurate data entry and good keyboard skills
- Positive, can-do attitude - team player
- Ability to multitask, and work to deadlines
