On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12 month contract based in Bristol.

Purpose of the Role:

• Drive the continuous improvement and optimisation of manufacturing processes to maximise process capability, yield, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Analyse process performance, identify root causes of manufacturing issues, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap and improve process control.
• Support the introduction of new products, equipment, and process improvements while ensuring robust documentation and manufacturing standards are maintained.

• Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and methods of manufacture.
• Monitor process performance, define key process variables, and implement control measures to ensure optimum manufacturing performance.
• Analyse data, perform root cause investigations, and lead corrective actions.
• Own and maintain PFMEA activities.
• Define, analyse, and report process change requirements.
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and new equipment introductions, managing validation activities where required.
• Create, update, and maintain manufacturing process documentation, operating procedures, technical packages, and FAIRs.
• Support New Product Introduction activities, applying APQP and PPAP principles.
• Work closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure manufacturing processes meet requirements for quality, cost, delivery, and lead time.

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience investigating manufacturing issues and implementing process improvements.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with experience leading continuous improvement or scrap reduction projects.
• Experience using PFMEA, SPC, APQP, and PPAP methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business.
• Excellent organisational, presentation, and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
