Most Account Handler roles talk about servicing clients.

This one is about understanding them.

• Understanding how businesses operate, where they’re exposed, and how insurance becomes a tool for growth, not just protection.
• We’re looking for a Commercial Account Handler who wants to be close to clients, working alongside experienced Account Directors on complex, varied and sometimes international programmes, and playing a real role in how those clients are advised.
• This is for someone building a long-term career in client service within a broker who differentiates itself by the service that it offers.

The Role:

• You’ll manage a portfolio of commercial clients, across a broad mix of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, food and drink, retail, haulage and transport.
• This is a varied portfolio role, clients ranging in size from scale up – start up businesses, to those with genuine corporate turnover numbers, and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing cross-class risks including property, liability, motor, fleet, cyber and professional indemnity.
• Acting as a key day-to-day contact, building strong client relationships.
• Working closely with Account Directors on complex placements and programme design.
• Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments and general servicing.
• Preparing market submissions and negotiating with insurers.
• Identifying gaps in cover and supporting cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
• Supporting and contributing to client meetings and reviews.

What You Will Bring:

• Strong commercial insurance experience.
• Experience managing multiple clients, not just a small number of giant accounts as part of a team.
• Strong cross-class knowledge across property, liability, motor, cyber and financial lines.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and Account Directors.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Acturis experience is an advantage.
