Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor – Building Safety & Recladding Projects (Southwest & Wales). Bekk R Solutions are actively seeking applications for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Building Safety team, forming part of a larger tier 1 main contracting employer.

A leading UK construction and property development business is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (or Senior QS) to join its Building Safety team, supporting recladding and remediation projects across the Southwest & Wales region. The role is primarily based in Bristol, with regular site visits as part of project delivery.

You’ll play a key part in the commercial management of building safety projects, ensuring robust cost control, accurate reporting and strong contractual compliance throughout the lifecycle of each scheme.

Day to day,

• Preparing initial cost estimates based on consultant and in‑house technical findings, developing these into detailed cost budgets as information evolves.
• Producing accurate quantities from drawings.
• Working with the project lead to prepare Contractors’ Proposals for settlement agreements.
• Procuring consultants and subcontractors in line with company procedures, ensuring contracts protect overall project liability.
• Managing financial and contractual performance of consultants and subcontractors.
• Submitting timely and fully substantiated applications for payment.
• Producing accurate monthly financial reports in line with company reporting rules and deadlines.
• Maintaining clear, organised records to support any recovery actions.
• Administering supply chain applications for payment accurately and in accordance with contract terms.
• Supporting mitigation and recovery strategies alongside the Commercial Director.
• Attending site meetings and contributing to internal and external monthly reporting.
• Reviewing third‑party claims with the technical manager and preparing detailed assessments, including Scott Schedules.

About You,

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Confident producing accurate monthly financial reports and forecasts using company tools and procedures.
• Solid understanding of reporting timetables, commercial processes and contractual frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical, operational and commercial teams.
