Associate Director - Building Surveyor - #2151836

Location: Bristol | Hybrid & Flexible Working

We’re currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Director Building Surveyor to join its Bristol team.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to work across a strong portfolio of public sector and education projects, ranging from smaller works through to major capital programmes valued at £30m+.

The Role
You’ll be involved in delivering a broad range of Building Surveying and project management services, working closely with public sector clients and supporting projects from inception through to completion.

Your experience is likely to include:

• Project management of education and public sector projects ranging from £100k to £30m
• Contract administration across a range of standard forms of contract
• Working through established public sector frameworks
• Condition surveys and technical due diligence
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes
• Building fabric assessments and lifecycle planning
• Dilapidations and schedules of condition
• Preparation of specifications, tender documentation and reports
• Managing projects from feasibility and design through to completion
• Client management and development of long-term relationships
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Building Surveying team

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Building Surveyor operating at Associate Director level, or someone ready to make that step.

Ideally, you will have:

• MRICS qualification
• Strong Building Surveying background
• Significant experience delivering education and/or public sector projects
• Proven project management and contract administration experience
• Experience working across public sector frameworks
• Strong technical surveying knowledge, including condition surveys, PPM and dilapidations
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Experience managing projects and/or teams
