Your New Role

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing of supplier invoices and payments while supporting the wider finance function.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes
• Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid on time
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining positive relationships
• Assisting with month-end accounts payable reconciliations
• Supporting the finance team with administrative tasks and reporting requirements
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal controls

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
• Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
