Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking to make an impact in a fast-paced operation? Can you build strong relationships and confidently support managers through employee relations matters? Do you enjoy coaching managers and helping create a positive colleague experience?


Join GXO as an HR Advisor and become a key member of the HR team supporting our Amazon operation in Avonmouth. Working closely with managers, colleagues and trade union representatives, you'll provide practical HR support across a wide range of employee relations matters while helping to create a positive and engaging workplace. This is a varied role offering exposure to recruitment, absence management, investigations, performance management, employee engagement and change initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop your HR career within a fast-paced logistics environment.


This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Advise managers on employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary and grievance cases
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, managers and trade union representatives
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
  • Monitor investigations, probation reviews and absence trends to ensure a consistent approach
  • Help drive colleague engagement initiatives and support HR projects across the site



What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Previous HR Advisor experience, including managing employee relations cases
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to support managers at all levels
  • CIPD qualified, studying towards CIPD, or equivalent HR experience
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
