Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced IBM Maximo SME to support a major programme within an aviation environment.

The successful consultant will bring strong functional and technical knowledge of Maximo alongside experience of applying the platform within complex, asset-intensive environments. Maximo Aviation experience is highly desirable.

You will work with programme stakeholders, engineering teams and technical specialists to ensure Maximo is configured and utilised effectively against operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject-matter expert for IBM Maximo across the programme.
• Understand existing aviation maintenance and asset-management processes and translate requirements into Maximo solutions.
• Support the design, configuration and optimisation of Maximo functionality.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and solution approaches.
• Advise on Maximo best practice across asset, work and maintenance management.
• Support integration, testing, migration and deployment activities where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximise the use of the Maximo platform.
• Produce appropriate solution documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
• Experience with Maximo Aviation highly desirable
• Previous experience working as a Maximo SME, Consultant or Solution Specialist.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Experience of maintenance management, work management and asset lifecycle processes.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into Maximo configuration and solutions.
• Experience working within complex enterprise programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience of Maximo within other highly regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of Maximo Application Suite / MAS 8 or MAS 9.
• Experience of Maximo integrations, data migration or platform upgrades.
• Previous experience working within defence or UK public-sector programmes.
