Hours: Ideally full-time, Monday-Friday office based; part-time hours will be considered

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation based in Bristol, who are looking for an experienced Payroll & HR Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a busy, hands-on administrative role, supporting the final stages of the launch of a new people system. The role is not technical or IT-focused; instead, you will play a key part in ensuring data is accurate, information is correctly entered, the system is successfully rolled out, and employees receive the support they need.

Alongside the people and payroll responsibilities, there will also be opportunities to provide general administrative support across the business, including assisting the Finance Manager when required.

The Role

The role will be primarily focused on HR and payroll administration and will suit someone who enjoys a transactional, busy environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Entering staff rotas and working information onto the system for payroll processing.
  • Inputting employee information onto the new HR/people system.
  • Uploading and maintaining employment documentation, including contracts and employee records.
  • Ensuring employee data is accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Supporting the roll-out of the new people system and helping employees with general queries.
  • Providing administrative support around payroll and people processes.
  • Assisting with general administration across the business when required.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with general administrative tasks.
  • Helping other departments during busy periods where there is a need.
About You

We are ideally looking for someone with:

  • Strong general administration experience.
  • Previous experience in HR administration and/or payroll administration.
  • Experience using an HR database or people management system.
  • A good understanding of payroll processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of transactional administration.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to support other areas of the business when required.
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with employees and colleagues.

This would be a great opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator, Payroll Administrator, People Administrator or strong Administrator with HR and payroll experience who is available for a temporary assignment and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

What's on Offer?
  • Immediate temporary opportunity starting week commencing 21 September.
  • Initial assignment of at least 2 months, with the possibility of a longer-term extension.
  • Bristol-based role, 5 days onsite
  • Ideally full-time, Monday to Friday, office based.
  • Part-time candidates will also be considered.
  • An opportunity to play a key role in the successful implementation and roll-out of a new people system.
