ositive Employment is currently recruiting for a Power App Developer for our client, a local government organisation based in Bristol.

The successful post holder will work closely with the Connect to Work project and data teams to design, develop and implement a Power App for collecting, validating and managing Employer Engagement data. The role will require a confident, self-directed individual with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently while keeping stakeholders updated on progress.

This is a temporary contract for an initial 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Hybrid working is available.

RATE NEGOTIABLE

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Design, develop and maintain Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate solutions for Employer Engagement data.
  • Gather user requirements and translate these into practical, user-friendly digital solutions.
  • Develop processes for integrating data from agreed sources into the Power App and wider data environment.
  • Work with data colleagues to support integration with Databricks, the existing CRM and Lakehouse.
  • Plan and support user acceptance testing, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements.
  • Manage user permissions and ensure the application meets business and information governance requirements.
  • Produce user guidance, training materials and technical documentation, supporting non-technical users.
  • Work with the wider data team to ensure data can support DWP reporting requirements through Power BI.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, adoption, training and the transition of the Power App into business-as-usual operation.
  • Provide regular progress updates and escalate risks, issues and dependencies as required.

Personal Requirements:

  • Strong experience using Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate to develop data collection solutions.
  • Experience gathering requirements and delivering practical digital solutions.
  • Experience testing, troubleshooting and supporting applications in a live environment.
  • Good understanding of data modelling, data quality, data integration and ETL principles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with externally facing applications, Databricks or other cloud data platforms is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, JavaScript or similar technologies would be advantageous.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Pay: £20.00 - £100.00 per hour

Please note this role is within IR35.
