PS Head of IT - Bristol | Hybrid Working | To £110,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for an experienced Head of IT to lead technology operations, cyber security and service delivery within a successful professional services organisation.

This role requires proven IT leadership experience within a professional services environment and hands-on experience operating within an ISO 27001-certified or closely aligned organisation. These are essential requirements.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the PS Head of IT will lead a talented team responsible for IT operations, service delivery and project management, ensuring colleagues have access to secure, reliable and high-performing technology services. You'll also play a key role in driving operational excellence, managing risk and compliance, and helping shape the organisation's future technology roadmap.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and develop a high-performing IT operations, service delivery and project management team.
• Ensure the delivery of secure, reliable and customer-focused IT services.
• Oversee service desk operations, incident management and technology support.
• Drive cyber security operations, including vulnerability management, patching and incident response.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 27001 controls, policies and audit requirements.
• Manage infrastructure, cloud platforms and end-user technology.
• Own disaster recovery, backup and business continuity arrangements.
• Build strong relationships with technology suppliers and managed service providers.
• Deliver clear reporting on service performance, operational risk, security and compliance.
• Lead the governance and successful delivery of IT projects and technology change initiatives.
• Partner with the CTO and senior stakeholders to support strategic technology objectives.

Essential Experience

To be successful in this PS Head of IT role, you'll need:

• Significant IT leadership experience within a professional services organisation (such as legal, or accountancy or other regulated professional services environments with a partner ownership model).
• Demonstrable experience working within an ISO 27001-certified or ISO 27001-aligned environment, including information security controls, audits, risk management and continuous improvement activities.
• Proven leadership of IT operations, infrastructure and service delivery functions.
• Strong understanding of cyber security, operational resilience and technology risk management.
• Experience managing and developing IT teams and third-party suppliers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and modern cloud-based environments.
• Experience delivering IT projects and technology transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior level.

Desirable Experience

• Participation in ISO 27001 implementation or certification programmes.

• Awareness of automation and AI technologies and their associated governance considerations.
