About the role

We are hiring Hygiene Operatives to join our Kerry team in Portbury, Bristol on full-time, permanent contracts. Working hours are  

Due to the location of the site, having your own transport is essential

Our purpose-built factory at Royal Portbury Dock is a dry blending and mixing facility where we produce flavour blends for some of the world's best-known brands. Every week, hundreds of tonnes of product are accurately measured, blended and packed for our customers

What will you do?

In this role you will be responsible for adhering to the daily, weekly and ad hoc cleaning schedules, you will work closely will the Hygiene manager, colleagues and production teams to ensure the production areas are cleaned to the required standards in-line with company cleaning procedures. You will also be responsible for stock control of chemicals, consumables and equipment.

  • Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks
  • High and low level general cleaning of site, plant and fabrication
  • Cleaning of processing equipment and production lines to meet required standards, measured through testing of samples
  • Deep cleaning of production areas
  • Post cleaning checks to make sure everything has been completed properly
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is correctly completed 
  • Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Health & Safety, Hygiene, food safety, legality, quality, authenticity, and integrity
  • Ensuring that your cleaning and personal protective equipment are functioning correctly at all times
  • Replenish consumable items and chemicals across the site as per schedule
  • Remove and empty all waste receptacles
  • Sort and manage the sites recycling and waste streams
  • Reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to your line manager.
  • Any other duties as required or instructed to meets the needs of the business 
What do you need to be successful?

You will need excellent communication skills & be able to work on your own as well as part of a team. You will need to be physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting and manual handling involved in the role.

Previous experience in a hygiene role, or food manufacturing site would be an advantage, but full training will be given to successful candidates.

 
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure of time 
  • Good understanding of COSHH/ Chemical Awareness
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene is advantageous
  • The ability to follow set procedure and schedules and alerting senior leadership of any issues 
  • Ability to manage high workload

About the role

We are looking for dedicated Hygiene Operatives to join our team at Kerry's purpose-built manufacturing facility in Portbury, Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and operational excellence across our site. Your work will directly contribute to the production of safe, high-quality food ingredients used by some of the world's most recognised food and beverage brands.

Based at our Royal Portbury Dock facility, a specialist dry blending and mixing site, you will be responsible for carrying out both high and low-level cleaning of production areas, equipment, and site facilities. Working closely with the Hygiene Manager and Production teams, you will help ensure all areas are maintained to strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the factory.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, enjoys working as part of a team and understands the important role hygiene plays in food manufacturing.

Please note Due to the location of the site and limited public transport access, your own transport is essential.
