Home Based, candidates located along the M5 Corridor (Derby, Birmingham, Worcester, Gloucester, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth or surrounding areas)

£65,000 - £75,000 + Early Finish Fridays + 5 Weeks Holiday + Pension + Bonus structure + Company Car + Progression

Are you an experienced Sales professional with a strong CNC / Precision engineering background and business development experience, looking to lead the commercial function of a specialist engineering company in a senior leadership role?

On offer is an opportunity to join a well-established subcontract component engineering business where you will take ownership of technical sales, key customer relationships and business development, where you will directly be impacting the future success of the company.

This expanding company specialise in manufacturing precision engineered components to customer specifications and are now looking for a Head of Technical Sales to lead their commercial activities, develop new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

The day to day of this role includes leading technical sales and estimating activities, developing new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts, and working closely with engineering and production teams to deliver technical manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of CNC machining and precision engineering, alongside proven experience in technical sales, account management and business development.

The role:

• Head of Technical Sales
• Home-based with travel across the M5 corridor and customer sites
• Technical sales, estimating and business development
• Managing key customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities
• Monday to Friday
• 38 hours per week

The person:

• Strong technical understanding of CNC machining processes and precision engineered components
• Experience in technical sales and business development
• Confident communicating with engineers, customers and senior stakeholders
• Full UK driving licence
• Based anywhere along the M5 corridor from Derby to Plymouth
