HGV Class 2 Driver Loader – Bristol

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader to join our well-established client based in Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, Monday to Friday working, early finishes, no weekend working, excellent overtime rates, and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, LGV Driver, Refuse Driver, Waste Collection Driver, Recycling Driver, or Dustcart Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 – 14:18
• 39 hours per week

Rates of Pay

• £14.50 - £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures
• Leading the loading, transportation and unloading of waste and recycling materials
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects promptly
• Delivering excellent customer service to commercial customers and members of the public
• Using mobile IT equipment to complete daily paperwork and route information
• Supporting operations across the Avonmouth, Albert Road and Hartcliffe depots when required
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Following all Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid Category C (HGV Class 2) Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of Driver Hours, Tachograph and Working Time Regulations
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• The ability to read and speak a good level of English

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within waste, recycling or commercial collections would be advantageous
• Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicles
