Job Summary

Canada Life is seeking a Digital Content Editor to join our Digital Marketing team. The successful candidate will focus on supporting content implementation, content entry, content maintenance, and managing the digital content process while working alongside various teams within Marketing and the wider business.

What You'll Do

  • Support non-marketing professionals (Customer Service, Actuarial, IT, Technical, and Compliance teams) in content implementation via the CMS, enabling them to manage their pages effectively. Design and build campaign landing pages, optimising for accessibility, brand, and data capture.
  • Provide content entry and page-build support via the CMS to the broader Marketing team, implementing content that they have produced and approved. Manage and develop digital experiences across the website, microsites, and internal hubs, including uploading and publishing content, images, and collateral.
  • Manage content maintenance as part of the ever-green compliance programme, following the established Aprimo digital compliance process to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  • Run and maintain the digital content process as the primary lead on the Web Team inbox, actioning all content update requests within agreed service standards. Ensure content is approved for deployment. Collaborate with internal teams, digital partners, and agencies. Support the team on ad-hoc social media and digital marketing projects.
Who You Are

Technical Expertise

Experience with multiple CMS platforms and dynamic templating (Umbraco v13 or WordPress preferred). Expert knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. Implementation of digital content calendars: drafting, deploying, and testing content before launch. Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS. Knowledge of digital analytics packages (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Search Console). Knowledge of W3C accessibility guidelines.

Communication

Excellent written English and grammar skills, with proven experience writing for web and digital channels. Ability to produce on-brand content within established brand guidelines.

Relationship Building

Developing Self and Others

Experience supporting colleagues at both senior and junior levels. Strong organisational skills with an interest in digital channels, user experience, website management, and analytics. Understanding of GDPR and data processing on digital platforms.

Qualifications
  • Desirable: Knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g. Pardot), social media platforms (e.g. YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter), and social media listening tools (e.g. Hootsuite).
  • Desirable: Experience in a regulated environment and working with Marketing compliance teams.
