Expleo are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Engineer – CMM Programmer to support one of our customers with a role that includes the support of operational activities of the production and assembly departments from concept through to the production of the product and requires a clear understanding of structure, manufacturing, tooling, assembly process and system interaction.
We are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Engineers - CMM Programmers to support one of our customers on an upcoming work package to deliver a fully standardised and validated library of CMM programmes that align with thier current operational and quality requirements. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. and is available as a staff or sub-contract role (PAYE). The successful candidates will play key roles in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.
Engineers will report to the Programme Delivery Leader (PDL) and primarily work at the Client's site, with potential offsite work based on delivery targets.

Responsibilities
- Compilation and update of CMM Programmes for multi-sized components
- Creation of prove-out sheets and support Try-outs of new programs
- Understanding and interpretation of customer specifications and engineering drawings
- Update and optimisation of CMM Programs
- Assist within all aspects of engineering the production process, material flow and machine utilisation.
- Liaise and support the operations team
- Produce Engineering outputs to meet on-target delivery dates and Quality requirements
- Ensure ‘Right First Time’ is met in-line with Business KPI’s
- Be involved with continuous improvement process & offer improvement suggestions
- Interface with external stakeholders to understand technical issues / specifications
- Attend reviews (both internal and external) where required
- Working in accordance with Expleo QMS and customer quality requirements
- Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience
- Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality who can work and act autonomously
- Ability to liaise at all levels of the business management structure
- Excellent communication skills and decision maker
- Have good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of making sound technical judgements and appropriate decisions
- Assertiveness, independent, structured way of working and the ability to find oneself in a multicultural working environment
- Quality experience of process, tooling and measuring requirements capture and presenting formally.
- Delivering results and driving innovative change.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills capable of building good working relationships within the organisation
- Understanding of dimensional measurement systems and principles.
- Proven experience of CMM Programming of work pieces
- High level of proficiency in CAMIO & MODUS CMM Programming software
- Experience of programming LK & Renishaw machines
- Experience of Quality Processes and Dimensional standards & Tolerancing
- Proficient in undertaking Gauge R&R Statistical Studies and providing Verification reports
- Support the design of appropriate fixtures to support accurate and repeatable measurements
- Several years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace experience preferable but other industries considered
- Proactive Team Player with a focus on delivery and quality
- Good communicator who is professional during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering effective engineering solutions within cost, time and quality constraints
