The role:

The Finance Analyst plays a critical role in providing accurate and timely financial management information to the firm’s Chief Information Officer and the Senior IT Leadership team to enable effective data driven decision making. The role covers all the financial management of both operational and change expenditure, and involves gathering, analysing, interpreting financial data and providing actionable insights to senior management. Responsibilities include managing the IT budget, forecasting, reporting, benchmarking, optimisation opportunity identification and risk assessment.

What will you do:

  • Financial Analysis: Evaluate historical and current financial data and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts, monitor performance.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate reports and projections, present findings to management. Prepare regular dashboards and presentations for management.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct assessments, develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Cost Analysis: Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to gather information and provide insights.


What we are looking for:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's in Finance or qualified / part qualified in a related field such as Accounting / Financial Planning (e.g., CIMA) preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Finance Analyst, preferably in corporate.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting software (e.g., Excel).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in analysis and reporting.
  • Organisational Skills: Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
