Location: Avonmouth Docks, BS11

Pay Rate: £12.30ph

Type: Full-Time | Shift Work | Monday - Friday 07:00 -16:00 2x 30-minute breaks. (may be also needed on an occasional Saturday during peak periods)

Are you detail-oriented, safety-driven, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced production environment? We are seeking committed Production Operatives to join our client’s operation team and help them maintain high standards in manufacturing, safety, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

  • Adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and company safety procedures.
  • Correctly use PPE and report any hazards, accidents, or near-misses promptly
  • Support safe systems of work, participate in training, and contribute to safety improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with emergency procedures and site clocking systems.

Production & Quality Control

  • Ensure correct materials and bagging as per Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Prepare liners and seal bags correctly to prevent lifting damage.
  • Visually check product quality and bag weights; report any discrepancies or alarms.
  • Accurately label bags and store samples as per procedure.
  • Assist with contamination prevention by cleaning hoppers, blenders, and equipment.
  • Maintain smooth feed to packing lines and meet production targets (min. 60 tonnes/hour).
  • Equipment cleaning and daily maintenance (weighers, compressors, air lines).

Site Housekeeping & Team Support

  • Keep work areas clean and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist with weekly safety inspections and collaborate with fellow operators.
  • Maintain tidy storage, drainage, and site perimeter areas.
  • Be flexible to cover different roles during staff shortages or peak periods.
  • Follow staggered break schedules when required.
