Location: Bristol (site-based)


Role Summary


We’re recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major construction project in Bristol. Including Education, Arts, Leisure, Retail, Health, Residential, and Industrial. Reporting to the Construction Director, you'll be responsible for planning, execution, and completion of the build to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards. You’ll lead project teams and manage subcontractors on-site from pre-construction through to handover.


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee full project delivery on-site from mobilisation to handover.

  • Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors to achieve programme targets.

  • Manage procurement, temporary works and logistics in line with project schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with H&S, environmental and quality standards (OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 & 14001).

  • Act as Temporary Works Coordinator.

  • Liaise with design teams for timely release of construction information.

  • Maintain accurate project records using internal systems (Gateway).

  • Chair weekly site and subcontractor meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.

  • Monitor cost control, materials, variations, and site waste management.

  • Promote continuous improvement and support company CSR and CPD initiatives.


Essential Skills & Experience



  • 5+ years’ experience leading site-based construction projects.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities across multiple disciplines.

  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, safely and within budget.

  • Excellent knowledge of construction methodology and build process.

  • Health and safety compliance and inspection experience.

  • Strong organisational, communication and troubleshooting skills.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Gateway experience desirable.


Qualifications



  • Degree or HND/HNC in Construction or related discipline.

  • SMSTS, CSCS/CSR card, First Aid at Work, and COSHH accreditation.

  • Project Management or CIOB qualification desirable.

  • Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK and ROI.

  • Willingness to travel or work away from home if required.
