JOB TITLE: Risk & Assurance Manager (Safety, Health and Wellbeing)

SALARY: £65,385 - £72,650
LOCATION(S): Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Safety, Health and Wellbeing team. You'll be working in a fast paced and exciting role as we monitor operations and processes to ensure our standards are met. This would be ideal for a motivated and passionate individual who has a strong risk and assurance mindset and enjoys taking on new challenges and opportunities.

Day to day, you will:

  • Carrying out both desktop and site based risk and assurance reports. This standards and assess the completion understanding the framework and involves of embedding and control of all elements associated with risk management.
  • Developing risk controls to ensure quality operations and issues are addressed within the HS&W framework.
  • Accountable for ensuring RCSA framework is embedded across P&P and based mindset to effectively prioritise testing and-Business Units, requiring a risk oversight.
  • Setting a tone of operational rigour within the team, ensuring outputs appropriate for GEC and Board level review.
What you'll need:
  • Has specialist knowledge relevant to risk - Operational Risk Management management and frameworks to drive the risk strategy for the Safety, Health & Wellbeing team.
  • Ability to risk assess, risk mitigate, implement controls and emerging risks monitor outcomes. Creates risk profiles that mitigate known using continuous risk management to formally document and raise via reporting and governance mechanisms including RCS.
  • Has specialist knowledge of quality - Building Assurance Frameworks assurance activities and experience of creating and Implementing frameworks to act as second line in validating effectiveness of policies and standards. Will be responsible for building solutions and action plans when standards are not met.
  • Creates relationships with important internal - Stakeholder Management customers and act as their business partner. Is able to anticipate needs of different stakeholder groups and tailor approach to effectively influence.
  • Uses data from a wide range of sources, analyses key themes, - Data analysis.
  • Leadership - Provides leadership and coaching to juniors. Provides framework for junior colleagues to implement strategic plans against identifies possible impacts on the business and creates strategies to address these.
