A renowned regional contractor with a strong reputation and decades of experience delivering high-quality construction projects across the West of England and South Wales is looking to appoint an experienced Project Planner.

Specialising in commercial projects valued between £1M and £20M, the company is currently delivering many live schemes with a robust pipeline of upcoming work.

As a Project Planner, you will play a key role in both pre-construction and project delivery phases, working closely with internal teams to develop and maintain accurate and realistic programmes for a variety of schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project programmes using industry-standard software (Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject).
• Support bid submissions by preparing tender programmes and methodology.
• Work closely with site teams to monitor and update progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and provide regular progress reports.
• Attend site and client meetings to provide planning input and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.

About You:

• Background in engineering or site/project management.
• Demonstrable experience in construction planning – ideally from a main contractor background.
• Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to create realistic, logical programmes..

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with both new build and refurbishment commercial projects.
• Familiarity with NEC or JCT contract programming requirements.
• Background in site engineering/management
