Occupational Therapist – Community Mental HealthLocation: BristolJob Type: Full-Time, Monday to FridaySalary: £40,000–£50,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a new challenge? Our client is looking for a committed and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their Specialist Mental Health Division in Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Occupational Therapist to work with individuals who have experienced trauma and present with complex mental health needs. The role focuses on delivering community-based interventions that promote recovery, independence, and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred occupational therapy interventions in community settings
- Provide clinical guidance to support staff and contribute to care planning
- Assess service users’ functional needs and develop individualised treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
- Promote recovery, independence, and skill-building in daily living
- Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain CQC compliance
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience
- Experience supporting individuals with trauma and complex mental health needs
- Background in community-based mental health services preferred
- Strong understanding of therapeutic models and mental health legislation
- Confident in managing caseloads and leading practice within a team
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Salary between £40,000 and £50,000 depending on experience
