C++ Developer - #1718669

We are recruiting for a SC Cleared UKEO C++ Developer on contract to be based at our client's site in Bristol.

Our team, at our Bristol facility, develops solutions for the next generation of Defence Systems; developing evolving products while maintaining our reputation for safety, performance, and dependability.

This is a very hands-on role requiring the continued design and development of Command and Control architectures and their instantiations for future products. It is perfect for a Software Engineer who is proactive and takes the initiative.

1. A strong background in software engineering, its realization, and system-wide impact.


2. Experience of working in C++.


3. Collaborative, open approach to development, with the ability to work well in a team and maintain momentum during development.


4. Experience across the entire software development process, from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and proving, supported by effective documentation.


5. Experience with new tools, techniques, and approaches that could enable process evolution to improve efficiency and sustainability.


6. Experience in other languages such as Ada, QT.


7. Knowledge of DDS middleware and Real-Time Operating Systems.


8. Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC61508, and restricted coding standards such as MISRA C.
