Job Description: The Compliance Controller ensures that all company operations adhere to legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing compliance policies, monitoring compliance across departments, and providing support and training to ensure staff follow compliance protocols. The Compliance Controller works closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of compliance and mitigate risks.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Liaise with Team Members: Ensure compliance processes are followed and implemented correctly.


  • Data Management and Reporting: Utilise internal systems for data management and reporting.


  • Transport Compliance: Ensure all transport compliance processes are adhered to and process guides are updated.


  • Vehicle Servicing and Repair: Plan vehicle servicing and repair schedules with internal and external maintenance providers.


  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and update internal vehicle compliance systems across customer contracts.


  • Operational Compliance: Work with the transport team to meet daily operational compliance requirements.


  • Action Plans: Develop action plans with operational teams and ensure timely resolution of issues.


  • Data Requests and Compliance Queries: Handle data requests and compliance queries from internal sources and external authorities or auditors.


  • KPI and Reporting: Produce and maintain KPIs and reports related to customers' operational compliance.


  • Customer Relations and Administration: Manage customer relations and handle administrative duties.


  • Professional Responses: Provide timely and professional responses to queries via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.


  • Trailer Pool Management: Manage customer stand trailer pools and ensure compliance with customer requirements.


Required Experience:




  • Relevant Experience: Experience in a compliance-based role with knowledge of compliance management systems and DVSA operator licensing procedures.


  • Skills: Strong communication skills, geographical knowledge, and organisational skills with keen attention to detail.


  • Proficiency: Ability to work to deadlines, solution-driven and flexible approach to work, and proficiency in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


  • Team and Individual Work: Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
