Work Hard – Be Accountable – Be a Good Human These are our non-negotiables at SR2! About SR2 At SR2, we’re not just another recruitment company. We're a purpose-driven, B-Corp-certified business with a passion for doing things differently — building community, creating impact, and putting people at the heart of everything we do. We’ve scaled fast, we’re award-winning, and we have big plans. Now, we’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Management Accountant to join our growing team and help us level up as we move into the next exciting phase of our journey. The Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Management Accountant — someone who knows their stuff and brings the kind of commercial sharpness and financial rigour that a scaling recruitment business needs. You’ll be a critical part of our Finance team, helping ensure that the numbers are accurate, the reporting is insightful, and the wider business has the financial understanding it needs to keep growing sustainably. We're looking for someone who gets recruitment, understands the pace, and brings a calm, solutions-focused mindset to the table. Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of monthly management accounts: timely, accurate, and insightful.
- Month-end activities, including prepayments, accruals, and margin analysis review.
- Design and maintain KPI dashboards, delivering clear commercial insights to the business.
- Support budgeting processes and work directly with Regional Sales Heads and Sales Managers.
- Prepare Cost Centre and Profit Centre reports; provide meaningful variance analysis.
- Drive efficiency by initiating and supporting finance process improvements.
- Financial analysis on commission structures, incentive plans, and overhead spend.
- VAT returns, statutory submissions, and other tax compliance requirements.
- Management of the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Cashflow forecasting, treasury management, and bank reconciliations.
- Support bonus calculations and divisional reporting for the sales teams.
- Collaborate with outsourced payroll provider to ensure smooth internal payroll processes.
- Raise sales invoices and manage client PO processes.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and board pack preparation to support the CFO.
- Assist with wider Finance team responsibilities when required (holiday cover etc).
- Degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- ACCA/CIMA finalist, newly qualified, or qualified by experience (especially if gained within the recruitment sector).
- Minimum 3 years in a similar management accounting role.
- Strong Excel skills (comfortable with pivots, lookups, formulae).
- Xero system knowledge preferred.
- Recruitment sector experience highly desirable — we want someone who understands our world.
- Commercially astute, with a sharp eye for detail and the bigger picture.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Calm under pressure and comfortable juggling priorities.
- Confident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Solution-focused, process-driven, and proactive in suggesting improvements.
- A genuine team player — someone who brings positivity, maturity, and a can-do approach to every conversation.
- A collaborative, forward-thinking working environment.
- An opportunity to have real impact and visibility in a high-growth, values-led company.
- The chance to be part of something bigger: community initiatives, charity partnerships, and a team that cares.
- Annual Leave: 28 days holiday allowance +1 day per year of tenure.
- If your Birthday falls on a weekday, take it off on us!
- Hybrid Working: We’re in the office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 8:30am – 5:30pm… Fridays 4pm finish!
