About the role
As Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) continues it digital journey, we are scaling up our Engineering capabilities within our Azure Cloud Platform team. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a proven track record in delivering and maintaining cloud solutions within an enterprise environment. You will be joining a highly skilled and committed technology team and will play a significant role in our technology transformation journey, working on our Azure Cloud platform. What you'll be doing
- Delivering a best-in-class service within a high performing Cloud Infrastructure team
- Providing maintenance and deployment services across our Azure Cloud Platform
- Leading by example to create a culture of continuous service improvements
- Working with the Azure Technical Lead to help to develop our service strategy
- Responsible for recording, managing, and approving changes in line with ITIL best practice
- Creating, updating and approving documentation and knowledge items
- Managing the relationship with 3rd party vendors to ensure the successful procurement and installation of services
- Implementing and maintaining robust security controls
- Protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with data governance standards
- Leading Major Incident events, ensuring RCA is carried out for Incidents and Problems
About you
- Demonstrable experience working with Cloud technology including; Azure Networking, Azure Virtual Machines and Scale Sets, Azure storage, Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (or equivalent cloud platform)
- Strong experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and related tools
- Experience in automating infrastructure deployments in the Cloud with Terraform and Azure Pipelines
- Understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Landing Zones and Well Architected Framework
- Financial efficiency: Analysing system performance and providing reports to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Qualified to Microsoft AZ-104 minimum (or equivalent)
- A willingness to provide occasional out of hours services as required
Desirable:
- Defining business operational requirements and implementing service designs
- Serverless architecture experience
- Experience working in Financial Services
- Qualified to Microsoft AZ-305 (or equivalent)
- Qualified to ITIL 4 Foundation
Interview process
There is a two-stage interview process for this role. The first stage will incorporate competency-based questions including an assessment of your technical knowledge and transferable skills. For candidates who progress, the second stage will be held face-to-face at our Bristol office, and there will be a presentation to prepare and deliver.
Salary
Circa £55,000 p.a. depending on experience
Working Schedule
This role is a permanent role, Monday - Friday 37.5 hours a week. We offer hybrid working whereby you'll be required in the office one day per week as a minimum.
