We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the activities of the production department(s) to ensure efficient processing of materials and manufacturing of products, adhering to schedules and customer requirements. Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising all production shifts, departments, and personnel to meet production targets
- Planning production operations, establishing priorities, and collaborating with Planning and Scheduling teams
- Working with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize equipment and layout for efficiency
- Reviewing reports, resolving operational issues, and minimizing costs
- Conducting safety checks and enforcing safety protocols
- Ensuring timely accident reporting and investigations
- Developing and updating standard operational procedures and monitoring compliance
- Addressing worker concerns and liaising with Human Resources as needed
- Analyzing production data to identify and implement improvements
- Supervising shift and area leads
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience: 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent education/training
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret production reports and documents; communicate effectively in English and Spanish
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency with basic math concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, data analysis, and decision-making capabilities
Forklift Operation: Training and certification available
Physical Demands: The role requires frequent talking, standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, and occasional climbing, stooping, or crouching. Must lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, humidity, fumes, outdoor weather, extreme heat, and electrical hazards. Noise levels are typically loud.
