The Role

As a Pharmacy Technician with us, you'll play a pivotal role in being responsible for ensuring the centre runs a safe, efficient and accurate dispensing service including oral chemotherapy. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact and develop your career.

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe delivery of oncology services within GenesisCare by working together with Pharmacists and lead Pharmacist
• Perform medicine reconciliation and top-up service
• To procure, receipt, top up and distribute medicines to all areas of the Centre in conjunction with the pharmacy team.
• Provide a dispensing service for medicines that may be required.
• Ensure accurate and timely charging.
• Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory, professional and best practice frameworks.
• Be a proactive member of the Centre’s pharmacy team.
  
  

What You'll Have

Experience and skills:

• Knowledge and use of Dispensing system
• Stock management, ordering and stocktake
• Computer skills and use of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good organisational and planning skills - able to plan and organise straightforward tasks and programmes and ensure effective control of pharmaceutical stock.
• Attention to detail – ensure accurate recording of data.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Qualifications and Knowledge:
• Must be registered on the General Pharmaceutical Council register.
• Knowledge of General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
• Recent experience of dispensing medicines and experience of medicine management in a hospital setting (desirable).
• Basic clinical knowledge
