A leading consultancy is seeking an accomplished leader to take on a pivotal role in the delivery of a nationally significant and hugely complex programme of work.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing, multidisciplinary environment delivering some of the UK’s most ambitious projects—many valued in the billions.
In this role, you’ll lead cross-functional teams of over 120 professionals across the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through to construction, handover, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a major, complex programme of work with full accountability for time, cost, safety, and quality.
- Inspire, develop, and manage large multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set strategic direction across programme lifecycles, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with clients, JV partners, and internal teams.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across delivery models.
- Contribute to succession planning and leadership development across the business.
Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience (20+ years) delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary engineering or infrastructure programmes. Ideally across the project life cycle from design to construction.
- Strong leadership capability with a proven track record of successfully managing a diverse and challenging stakeholder group, including civil servants and elected representatives.
- A deep understanding of infrastructure or complex building delivery in the UK, with a robust professional network.
- Experience working in collaborative, client-facing roles with responsibility for commercial performance whilst also able to effectively manage clients with cost constraints.
- Eligible for UK National Security Vetting (CTC/SC level).
