Position Overview:


A dynamic and proactive individual is required to provide seamless and professional purchasing for our internal customers. A strong work ethic, attention to detail and a passion to drive change is critical for this fast paced role.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Take ownership of the component sourcing to achieve high availability of parts against the MRP plan. 

  • Ensure parts are on-site & on-time to meet MRP demand and build schedules. Proactively progress chase the supplier network for adherence to on-time delivery against agreed delivery dates.

  • Participate in project and spares meetings to provide updates and explore impact on shortages.

  • Maintain BOM tracker for machine builds, keeping this up to date and available for project leaders.

  • To support day to day requirements, raising sales orders for quick supply, where identified as part of project, service and intensive care meetings.

  • Maintain professional relationships and rapport to achieve fast responses and service from our supplier base.

  • Proactively spot and seize opportunities for cost reduction against agreed targets.

  • Ensuring our ISO standard is followed with regards to: obtaining quotations, raising, issuing, amending, filing and chasing purchase orders.

  • Assist the accounts team with regular invoice reviews, Barclay card purchasing and supplier introduction.

  • Support project and sales teams by providing timely and accurate updates as required.

  • Consolidate and seek out new suppliers where possible.

  • Liaise with suppliers to address quality and manufacturing issues as they arise.

  • Be investigative and questioning in nature, providing good problem solving skills

  • Support wider team functions, stock control, goods inwards


What We’re Looking For:



  • Experience in purchasing or procurement

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., MRP, Sage) and Excel.
