Practice Accountant - Bristol - £30,000 - £40,000

Trial Balance are delighted to be working with an accountancy practice in Bristol, looking to recruit a Practice Accountant to join its team. This is a broad general practice position offering exposure to a range of accounting and taxation assignments, with the opportunity to work closely with clients and support their ongoing financial requirements.

As Practice Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for a varied portfolio of clients

- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring all relevant tax requirements are met.

- Completing VAT returns and supporting bookkeeping requirements

- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting

- Maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring relevant compliance deadlines are met

- Liaising directly with clients, responding to queries and providing day-to-day accounting support

- Building positive working relationships with clients and colleagues

- Working alongside other members of the team to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently

The successful Practice Accountant will:

Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice, with a good grounding across accounts preparation and general taxation work.

AAT, ACA or ACCA qualifications would be advantageous, although candidates who are part-qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered. You'll be organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with clients, with the ability to manage a varied workload and maintain high standards of accuracy.

We're interested in speaking with accountants at different stages of their practice careers, from experienced Accounts Semi Seniors through to established Accounts Seniors, depending on their technical ability and experience.
