People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Portbury, Bristol, covering the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates of £18.21–£21.42, Monday-to-Friday working, ongoing work, full training and immediate starts. Drivers with just six months' HGV Class 2 experience are welcome to apply.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:00 and 07:00
• Ongoing work available

Rates of Pay

• £18.21–£21.42 per hour
• PAYE – holiday pay accrued separately
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing multi-drop deliveries to designated locations
• Working alongside a Driver's Mate to complete deliveries
• Loading and unloading goods safely and accurately
• Undertaking manual handling and handball duties when required
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects
• Ensuring goods are loaded and secured correctly
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers and site staff
• Following UK road traffic laws and transport regulations
• Providing a professional and reliable delivery service

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Minimum of six months' HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No IN, DR, DD or CD driving endorsements
• Good understanding of road safety and transport compliance
• Reliable, professional and punctual approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively alongside a Driver's Mate
• Willingness to undertake manual handling and handball duties

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Previous customer-facing delivery experience

Training Provided

• Full industry-related training
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
