Job Advert: PPM Engineer

Location: Bristol (Field-Based)
Salary: £29,700 per annum + Door-to-Door Overtime
Hours: 45 hours per week

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a motivated and technically minded PPM Engineer to join an established service team based in Bristol, carrying out preventative planned maintenance (PPM) on commercial ovens, Yanga equipment and basic vending machines.

This is a varied field-based role offering a basic salary of £29,700 per annum, plus door-to-door overtime, providing an excellent opportunity to increase your overall earnings.

This is not an entry-level position and would suit someone who is computer literate, technically capable and comfortable working independently out in the field.

Full training will be provided, with genuine opportunities for career progression for someone looking to develop their engineering career.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative planned maintenance (PPM) on commercial ovens, Yanga equipment and basic vending machines.

• Complete programming and configuration work on commercial oven systems.

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and basic fault-finding.

• Use hand tools and basic equipment to complete maintenance tasks.

• Identify potential issues and ensure equipment is operating correctly.

• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.

• Travel to customer sites to carry out scheduled maintenance.

• Work independently and manage your workload effectively.

• Occasionally stay away from home when required.

Requirements

• Good computer literacy, particularly for programming and configuring oven systems.

• Comfortable using basic hand tools and carrying out practical maintenance tasks.

• Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous, although training will be provided.

• Full, clean UK driving licence.

• Happy to travel regularly and occasionally stay away overnight when required.

• Willingness to undertake a two-week training course at the company's head office in Crawley.

• A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in developing technical and engineering skills.

• Ability to work independently and deliver a high standard of customer service.
