Field Service Engineer - Bristol - #2183415

Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a utility scale solar O&M company to recruit a Field Service Engineer for its sites in the Bristol and the surrounding areas.

This role comes with a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 DOE, company van and provides an excellent opportunity to move into the utility scale solar world.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of Operationsyou will:

• Assisting with planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements. Learning around reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and standard operating procedures
• Performing reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner
• Carrying out site surveys requests as required
• Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner
• Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit
• Ensuring that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity
• Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualifications or equivalent
• C&G 2391 Testing and Inspection
• 17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations
• Ideally at least a year's experience from within in a maintenance work in either an industrial, commercial or even domestic capacity
• Full UK Licence

The Field Service Engineer role would suit someone who is:

• Keen to get into renewables A real passion for renewable technologies such as solar PV, battery storage etc
• Happy to travel around to sites in a field-based role
