What will you be doing?

As a WCA Functional Assessor, you'll assess how an individual's physical and mental health conditions affect their ability to work or undertake work-related activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing medical evidence and gathering relevant clinical information.
• Conducting structured assessments with individuals experiencing a range of health conditions.
• Exploring the impact of physical and mental health conditions on everyday functioning.
• Using your clinical knowledge and professional judgement to assess functional ability.
• Producing clear, accurate and evidence-based assessment reports.
• Providing objective clinical information to support the DWP's decision-making process.

• Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD).
• Occupational Therapists.
• Physiotherapists.

Essential requirements:

• Full, active and unrestricted NMC or HCPC registration.
• At least 12 months' post-registration UK clinical experience.
• Relevant experience working with adults.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
