HGV Driver - Construction Plant Deliveries

Location: Bristol
Salary: £17 - £18 per hour DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week
Overtime: Paid at time and a half

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Driver to join a busy construction plant operation in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver to join an established team, delivering and collecting construction plant machinery from customer sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machinery is transported safely and efficiently, maintaining the condition of their vehicle and ensuring all loads are properly secured.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting construction plant machinery from customer sites.
• Safely loading and unloading plant equipment.
• Ensuring all machinery is correctly secured and transported in line with health and safety requirements.
• Following pre-planned delivery routes and schedules.
• Completing digital delivery paperwork accurately.
• Carrying out checks to ensure the vehicle remains safe, roadworthy and in good working order.
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

Requirements

• A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• An up-to-date Driver CPC qualificaion
• Previous experience delivering construction plant machinery is preferred.
• Experience loading, unloading and securing machinery safely.
• A strong understanding of road safety and health and safety procedures.
• A reliable, organised and professional approach to work.

Salary & Benefits

• £17 - £18 per hour minimum guaranteed pay DOE
• 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Overtime paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate.
• Monthly pay.
• PPE provided.
• Weekends generally free, offering a Monday-to-Friday working pattern.
