I am looking for Operations Managers for various Defence contract positions in Bristol.

Contract Length: 6-12mth+
Location: Hybrid, Bristol (site attendance as required)
Rates: £300 - £530 per day Inside IR35 (dep. on role/level)
Clearance: Suitable candidates must hold active SC Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the successful delivery of complex programmes and business operations. The role will focus on coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders, managing delivery performance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational objectives are achieved. Experience within the Defence sector is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day operational activities across programmes and projects.
• Monitor performance, risks, issues, and delivery milestones, providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
• Support resource planning, workload management, and operational priorities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, customers, and key stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings, reviews, and governance activities to support successful delivery.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards, and contractual requirements.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Delivery Manager, Project Manager, or similar role.
• Previous experience working within the Defence sector or supporting Defence-related programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and managing competing priorities.
• Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risks and operational challenges.
• Strong planning, reporting, and organisational skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with MOD, Defence primes, or Defence supply chain organisations.
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, APMP, or MSP.
• Experience supporting business change, transformation, or capability delivery programmes.
