Through Life Support Professional - #2175172

I am looking for Through Life Support Professionals for various Defence contracts near Bristol.

Contract Length: 6-12mth+
Location: Hybrid, Bristol (site attendance as required)
Rates: £300 - £530 per day Inside IR35 (dep. on role/level)
Clearance: Suitable candidates must hold active SC Clearance

We are seeking experienced Through-Life Support (TLS) professionals to support the delivery, sustainment, and in-service management of complex systems and capabilities. The role will focus on ensuring equipment remains operationally effective, supportable, and cost-efficient throughout its lifecycle. Experience within the Defence sector is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Through-Life Support strategies and plans.
• Support the transition of systems from design and delivery into service.
• Coordinate sustainment, maintenance, and support activities throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Monitor performance, availability, reliability, and support metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with engineering, logistics, commercial, and project teams to ensure support requirements are met.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies associated with in-service support.
• Contribute to lifecycle cost planning, support solutions, and capability management activities.
• Support governance reviews, customer reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience within Through-Life Support, In-Service Support, Asset Management, ILS, Support Engineering, or similar roles.
• Experience supporting complex engineering programmes or operational capabilities.
• Understanding of maintenance, sustainment, supportability, availability, and lifecycle management principles.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams within a project or operational environment.
• Strong planning, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within the Defence, Aerospace, Maritime, Rail, Nuclear, or Engineering sectors.
• Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and supportability methodologies.
• Experience with reliability, maintainability, and availability analysis.
• Familiarity with lifecycle cost management and asset management principles.

This role would suit a Through-Life Support Manager, Supportability Engineer, ILS Engineer, Asset Manager, In-Service Support Manager, or Logistics Support professional with experience ensuring complex systems remain operationally effective throughout their lifecycle.
