ILS Engineer/Manager - #2175171

I am looking for ILS Engineers/Managers for a range of Defence contract roles in Bristol.

Contract Length: 6-12mth+
Location: Hybrid, Bristol (site attendance as required)
Rates: £300 - £530 per day Inside IR35 (dep. on role/level)
Clearance: Suitable candidates must hold active SC Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) professional to support the delivery and sustainment of complex systems throughout their lifecycle. The role will focus on ensuring supportability, availability, maintainability, and operational readiness, working closely with engineering, project, and customer teams. Experience within the Defence sector is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver ILS activities across the system lifecycle.
• Produce and maintain ILS documentation, analyses, and support strategies.
• Conduct supportability, maintainability, reliability, and availability assessments.
• Develop maintenance concepts, support solutions, and lifecycle management plans.
• Support spare parts provisioning, technical publications, and training requirements.
• Work closely with engineering, project management, and customer stakeholders to ensure support requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
• Contribute to risk management, governance reviews, and programme reporting.
• Support through-life support planning and operational readiness activities.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in an ILS, Supportability, Logistics Engineering, or Through-Life Support role.
• Experience delivering ILS activities within complex engineering or technical programmes.
• Understanding of reliability, maintainability, availability, and supportability principles.
• Ability to develop and review ILS documentation and support strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within a project or programme delivery environment.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within the Defence, Aerospace, Maritime, Naval, Land, or Engineering sectors.
• Knowledge of Def Stan 00-600, ASD S-Series specifications, or equivalent supportability standards.
• Experience with Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), LORA, FMEA/FMECA, or related analyses.
• Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain clearance.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.

Candidate Profile

This role would suit an ILS Engineer, Senior ILS Engineer, Supportability Engineer, Logistics Support Analyst, Through-Life Support Manager, or ILS Manager with experience supporting complex systems and ensuring effective support solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
