Ecommerce Marketing Manager - #2174354
WildBounds
About Us
WildBounds is a Bristol-based DTC retailer specialising in outdoor and lifestyle gear and apparel – a carefully curated edit of the best products for people who live adventurously. We're known for a tightly curated range and for taking product seriously.
Housed & Harnessed is our sister business – a UK distribution company representing a portfolio of outdoor and lifestyle brands including Matador, Sunski, Crazy Creek and others.
This role sits across both businesses.
The Role
You will own how customers find and buy from us, from the campaigns on our site to the channels that bring people to it. That means running the marketing calendar, growing our organic and AI search visibility, and managing Google and Meta Ads to drive profitable growth.
You will also shape the website roadmap, writing clear specs for our developer to improve conversion rate and page speed. It is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys both the numbers and the detail, and who can work autonomously in a small team.
This is a full-time position, based at our Bristol office and reports to the Managing Director. Premises address is 13 Liberty Industrial Park, South Liberty Lane, Bristol, BS3 2SU.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing campaigns: Own the marketing calendar and keep our website current, from homepage and campaign updates to seasonal changes.
- Organic search: Internal linking in copy, writing collection copy, and connecting Journal articles to brand pages. Prepare SEO briefs for our commissioning editor.
- AI and agentic search: Enrich our product data so we are found and recommended by AI assistants and shopping agents and keep pace with how these channels evolve.
- Website development: Manage a pipeline of improvements to conversion rate, page speed and the wider site. This is the largest single part of the role and central to the growth of the business. Scope and write development specs for our developer, prioritise the backlog, and test what ships.
- Hands-on site improvements: Make changes to the site yourself using AI tools such as Claude, from tweaking CSS and building new Shopify blocks to integrating apps and adding click tracking in Google Tag Manager. You don’t need to be a developer, but you will need some basic technical understanding and a willingness to learn.
- Google Ads: Run day-to-day testing, monitoring and optimisation across our accounts, and lead regular calls with our Google rep.
- Meta Ads: Set up and run paid social campaigns, building a testing programme and growing spend as results justify.
- Events: Plan and deliver trade and consumer events (roughly 2-3 events each year).
- Affiliates: Support the agency that manages our affiliate programme.
- PR: Support and manage our external PR agency on seasonal campaigns.
- Product photography: Shoot product images in our in-house studio.
- WhatsApp: Create and send WhatsApp campaigns at least every other week.
- Partnerships and projects: Brand partnerships and other projects as they come up.
