Senior Finance Lead (ABL & Financing) | Bristol

Contract, fixed-term | Immediate start

Robert Half are working with a fast-growing, investor-backed group in Bristol that is looking for a Senior Finance Lead to take ownership of its asset-based lending (ABL) facility, lender reporting and funding model. Hands-on ABL experience is what will set you apart. You will own the facility end to end and be the person who explains the numbers to the lender, with direct access to the decision-maker in a business that is moving quickly.

The details

Location: Bristol, on site four to five days a week initially, with some flexibility once established

Basis: Contract day rate or fixed-term

Start: Immediate

Rate / salary: £450-£650pd

Reports to: CEO

Works with: The Head of Finance Operations, Head of Credit Control & Billing and Financial Controller

Interviews: Over the next week or so, with a quick process

What you will do

• Borrowing base and availability: build and maintain the receivables borrowing base from the existing ledger (eligibility, concentration, dilution and DSO analysis) and produce the weekly availability report
• Lender reporting: own the weekly and monthly reporting packs, covenant compliance, lender information requests and field audits
• Cash flow and funding model: maintain the integrated forecast and 13-week cash flow in a lender-ready format, modelling facility headroom and accordion or additional funding needs as the group grows
• Process and controls: document the borrowing base and reporting processes and embed them in the wider finance team
• Lender interaction: work directly with the lender and present and explain the numbers to their credit team

About you

• Hands-on ABL experience, ideally from the borrower side and ideally with a lender or ABL audit background as well
• Strong Excel modelling, 13-week cash flow, integrated forecasting and scenario analysis
• Qualified accountant or equivalent
• Comfortable being hands-on in a fast-moving, founder-led environment
• Direct, works to dates, and confident presenting to a lender's credit team
