Accounts Payable Clerk - #2168073

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently supporting a longstanding client who need an Accounts Payable Clerk to join them for a period of 6 months on a fixed term contract basis. This opportunity is based in central Bristol with hybrid working + Flexible working hours.

Role: Accounts Payable Clerk

Duration: 6 months

Start date: ASAP/Can wait for notice

Location: Central Bristol

Money: £28,000 - £32,000 (DOE)

Working hours & Hybrid: 37.5 hours weekly with flexible working hours and hybrid of 2-3 days per week in the office

Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day accounts payable function, following established procedures and best practice
• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring correct ledger coding and VAT treatment
• Maintain supplier accounts and records, including processing new supplier approvals and reviewing existing suppliers
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice and payment queries promptly and professionally
• Assist with supplier payment runs and cash flow forecasting

Skills/experience needed:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable role
• Experience using finance systems and accounting software
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and sound judgement
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
