Senior Credit Controller - #2167755

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Senior Credit Controller to join a well-recognised Professional Services company based in Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£32,000 - £40,000 plus bonus, hybrid remote working and wider benefits package

Roles and responsibilities over time will include but not limited to:

• Take ownership of assigned ledgers, managing collections, query resolution, credit limits and escalations, while proactively engaging stakeholders to ensure timely payment and resolution of disputes in line with KPIs
• Effectively manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, ensuring clear proactive communication and resolution of issues
• Lead credit control meetings for assigned sales teams, providing updates on account status and agreeing follow-up actions
• Perform regular credit checks on new and existing customers, ensuring management approved limits are appropriately applied and promptly highlighting risks and problems
• Maintain accurate ledger integrity through cash posting, reconciliations, month-end statement production, and maintenance of auditable customer records and documentation
• Issue final demands and agree and carry out subsequent escalation actions with company management, supporting the wider team in managing escalated accounts where required
• Provide support to internal and external audit activities, ensuring full cooperation and timely provision of required information

Person specification:

• 3+ years credit control experience
• Calm, assertive and collaborative individual with excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage issues through to resolution, while demonstrating sound judgement and escalating issues where there may be wider implications
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to work collaboratively, co-operatively and productively with others both within finance and cross functionally
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure without direction
